Titanic Belfast
The Titanic store carries more than 100 publications about the design, construction and disastrous maiden voyage of the world’s most famous passenger ship as well as vintage posters, memorabilia and an exclusive range of clothing.
Designers chose MicroSlat’s aluminium slatwall in hard-wearing powder-coated black because it harmonised with the attraction’s décor, which mimics the look and feel of the tragic liner. For instance, the gondola tops are modelled on the ship’s porthole.
MicroSlat supplied the panels in 3 metre lengths which were then cut to size during the store’s fit-out. The ease of conversion was critical because the store had to be ready in time for the exhibition’s opening, which coincided with the 100th anniversary of the liner’s ill-fated maiden voyage.
MicroSlat aluminium slatwall is compatible with all standard slatwall accessories to meet every possible display requirement a visitor centre such as this could possibly need. All wall fixtures and display gondolas can be merchandised quickly and effectively to meet current needs and any changes in products as and when they occur.
