Blackwell Grange Golf Club
Golf legend Bernard Gallacher opened Blackwell Grange Golf Club's new pro shop in Darlington following an ambitious fit out by MicroSlat International.
The 18-hole course has seen membership soar to more than 750 since its amalgamation with Stressholme Golf Club two years ago.
Club professional Ralph Givens explained: "We needed a new pro shop to meet the increased demand. The old one was too small and didn't have enough space to display all our stock."
The club gave MicroSlat’s Managing Director Terry Dady a free hand in designing the new layout and using the company’s all-aluminium display solutions.
Terry explained: “Because we started with a blank canvas I had unprecedented flexibility. For a fully integrated look we left cables hanging behind the display panels, cut the slatwall and designed special finishers for the electrical sockets. So the slatwall ran flush from floor to ceiling the skirting boards and architraves were built out by an extra 50mm.

"The new pro shop is fantastic and the displays really allow it to show off a huge range of equipment. Blackwell Grange is a superb course - now it has the facilities to match."
